Query by MaxW: How to know the very best degree for your surf spot?
I’m bit by bit getting to understand Surflines studies. The a person point i’m obtaining issues figuring out is the degree part. I’m in southern Cali, i surf Tourmaline, Blacks, Scripps, Del Mar, and other individuals. Is the degree distinct for every single surf place or its all the very same due to the fact they are all within about 10 miles inside each other people?
Is there a web-site, map, atlas to figure this out? When i click on surflines maps with the diploma portion, it confuses the heck out of me. There are so many arrows and i have a difficult time browsing them.
Thank you.

In your spot of SD, specific spots choose up swell instructions in a different way. With out naming names, Scrips can take a lot more of a North though WAS can take more of a South. If you go further more S to the Cliffs, they take additional of a North although O-Facet will take much more of a South. It also is dependent if it is a Wind Swell or a combo swell, much better for beaches, or Ground swell, far better for a reef. Your spot has many breaks that you just have to figure it out by trial and error, and it can take time to do that. No simple response!

Give your response to this question beneath!
what country do you live in?
the american mags seem to have heaps of cheap subscriptions but are in my opinion of inferior quality to the australian mags, which i will discuss.
Which one to get depends alot on personal preferences;Tracks usually has the best quality articles of the mainstream mags, surfing world if you are an old dude although thats a quarterly, waves if you are a fashion conscious young hipster, ASL is also pretty good and has alot of giveaways, on the other hand if you are interested in the sexual positions and pube stylings preferred by pro surfers then stabb is the magazine for you. Hope this helps
There are a lot of different ones depending on what you are looking for. here are some of the biggest ones and a short description of what they are about.
Surfer – Big name interviews and crazy surf trips
Surfing – Themed issues and more practical
Surfers Journal – More mature articles and artistic photos
Transworld Surf – Young, fast, loud and lots of ads
FreeSurf – Hawaii surfing
